In discussion tonight it was mentioned that the percentages were skewed. The way it worked out is that each point was worth 250 in chips. Wanting to give 10th place a total of 10,000 starting stack was the goal to calculating this. Simply by dividing 10,000 by total points earned for 10th place points and rounding so that all stacks came out an even rounded number or rounding up.
One thought was that the chip leader, Louis, had significantly more chips than everyone else. However, if you base it on points, he also had twice as many points as 10th place. So the chip stack correlates with the points earned for the season.
The thought was that a set percentage be used next time for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc...
But here is the breakdown for this last final table if just so that everyone can make an informed decision.
Name/ Points /Chip Stack/ Percentage
Louis 89 22250 14.1%
Kevin 71 17750 11.25%
