Judd thought that I should add other commentaries, things like if the bathrooms were clean and such.  The and such, because I really kind of stopped listening to his ramblings.  As I have said before, anyone is welcome to post their perspective on here, in fact I encourage it.  I am struggling to remember hands tonight as I was in a bad spot, not complaining, just stating the facts.  So, I was playing under duress.  It was a great night for poker on the patio, thankfully the lights started working, the two kiddos were great hosts as well as the wonerful puppy. Though the dog stuck his nose in my bag of pistachios, not sure if he would have liked them much.  Since I was playing with the light in my face, I could not make out green chips and black chips.  So remembering hands tonight will be difficult. Eighteen showed up for a wonderfully cooperative night of poker weather.

Day 9

The November Nine have been established.  A top pro is the chip leader.  I am not going to name names, as some people want to wait until the coverage on ESPN that starts next month.  But, if you wish to know then go to the WSOP.com.  

Day 6

WSOP Main Event #62 at Day 6 with 60 players remaining.  The chip leader, Timoshenko, has about 8 million and the short stack has .5 million, Brett Richey.  There a few women left in the field and the notable pros are JC Tran, 26th with 3.2 million and Carlos Mortensen with 2.6 million.  Not sure if there will be any live coverage at ESPN or espngo.com, I will keep you posted. 60th place earns about $123,000, while the 1st prize is about $8.3 million this year.  Originally, 6,352 players bought in for $10,000 with a starting stack of 30,000 in chips. 

Thanks to Tim for hosting.  It was a windy evening, so we moved in doors.  Fifteen players showed up to play, some more than others as some showed up who claimed to have sent text messages to buy-in late.  We had a single spectator, whom we all encouraged to play, but to no avail.  There was MMA on the Mac and the main event ended with a surprise quick knockout of the champ, Sylva.  Poker play certainly slowed down as our attention was drawn to this knockout.  I played short handed part of the night, as I lost most of chips due to subborness on my part in a hand against Brad and Partap who were directly to my left.  Partap was dealing and Brad was controling the betting.  I limped from off the button with Q-K and so did Partap at the button.  Brad raised 3xs the big blind.  I called and so did Partap.  The flop came, 7-K-6, Brad bet I called and so did Partap.  The next card was 9, a magic card for Partap.  Brad b

I am suggesting a poker party for the end of each season.  Someone can host, any volunteers, and we do it on a Friday or Saturday night, no points, and not a lot of cash.  We can do a $5, $10,$15, or $20 buy-in, winner take all or 1st, 2nd, or 1st, 2nd, and 3rd depending on the buy-in amount.  The chip stacks would be determined by the amount of points you got for the season or we can all start with 10,000 chips, whatever the consensus would be.  I think 500 chips per point would be the best, stretch out the blinds levels for 5 or 10 minutes, start at 7pm, and drink and have fun.  Anybody up for it?!

Final Table Update

We had three table with 23 players show up.  Judd's place was popular.  I was out just before break.  Felt like gambling to try and acquire chips.  So, I was out just before the first break.  I went up against Next Door, who raised my big blind from $200 to $1500.  I called with Ah2h.  I got a fantastic flop and was ahead 60% to 40% without a pair.  16 outs, minus one, because Nestor bet for $2000 and I went all in.  For the additional $1500 of course he called.  He turned over to red Queens.  The flop was 7h-5h-3s.  The turn and river did not help me out.  That was all she wrote or I can write as I chipped everyone up and left at break.  Well at least Baker went out before me.  He was caught in a hand with TK.  Baker originally raised for 650 and then TK called.  The flop came Jd-9d-4s.  TK checked and Baker bet 650 again, TK called.  TK bet 1500, Baker went all-in and TK called.  Ba
