Week 14 - Eliseo's House

Well, most of my night was spent searching for a cat that was never lost.  He was hiding in the closet.  So, yes he was found and my son felt really stupid.  Other than that distraction, I think everyone had a good time.  I only really remember a few hands, the hand I got busted on before break, the hand Louis called "stupid", and the final hand that gave a Yvonne her first win.  Congrats Yvonne!  The hand I busted out on just before break, played out with me calling in position with A-8, playing against Blanchard.  The flop came A-8-5. I hit two pair, Blanchard made a big bet of 1200 and I went all-in for a total of 5000.  Blanchard called.  Damn, I knew when he called he hit a set.  I hoped he was chasing the diamond flush.  I couldn't suck out against his trip 5's.  I was toast!  Not too much longer after the final table formed, Louis busted out against Brian with A-J versus A-J.  Four clubs on the board gave Brian the flush and it was all over.  Louis exclaimed that was "stupid"!  Yes, but I could use a poker cliche here and say that's poker, but I think I will come up with a new one, "Poker Happens"!  How about that for a new poker cliche?  The final hand, after Yvonne got into Kevin's head with a bluff, Kevin called 1200 and then Yvonne made a min-raise and Kevin called.  The flop came A-J-6.  Yvonne checked, Kevin bet 2400, Yvonne called.  The next card an 8.  Yvone checked, Kevin went all-in and Yvonne called.  She turned over A-J for two pair.  Yvonne's first win with me by her side as her designated "lucky charm".  Come to think of it, she was low on chips, and when I finally sat down next to her, she did pick up pocket Aces and took down a good size pot with four callers after raising a min-bet and everyone calling 1200.  Maybe some of that luck could rub off on me as I am sliding out of the top 10 quickly!  See you all again next week at my place.  Maybe we'll make cookies since Chris wanted some. 

The final order was John 5th, Qtip 4th, Brian 3rd, Kevin 2nd, and Yvonne 1st.
